What is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ for short)?

BJJ is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on ground fighting and control holds. Derived from Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, the martial art was designed to give smaller or weaker people the ability to defend themselves against larger or stronger opponents by utilizing leverage and weight distribution.

Here at Grappling Dynamics we focus exclusively on BJJ - both as a martial art and as a sport. Whether you want to practice BJJ for self-defense, competitive, fitness or social reasons, we welcome everyone and look forward to sharing the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with you.

We attach great importance to the high quality of the lessons and the creation of a pleasant training atmosphere.

We don't waste our time on "gym politics" or bloated egos - we focus on the team.

"Our team is a family and Jiu-Jitsu belongs to everyone!"

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

This course is suitable for all skill levels and focuses on traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a BJJ suit (Gi).

BJJ training in a gi allows you to slow down and control the pace of a fight, and also offers various holds that can be used both offensively and defensively against the opponent.

Rashguard

no gi grappling

This course is suitable for all skill levels and is a style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practiced without the traditional fighting uniform.

Removing the gi reduces control over the opponent. This leads to a faster pace and usually creates more "scrambles"—a term used in BJJ when neither person holds a dominant position over the other, resulting in a contest for dominant control.

Closed-mat

Training on the “Closed-Mat” offers our team the opportunity to practice the learned techniques or to spar - known in BJJ as “rolling”.

“Rolling” is an important aspect of BJJ training. It allows you to apply the knowledge learned in class to a real-life scenario. There is also a direct correlation between the development of BJJ skills and the time spent on the mat.

Get ahead faster, roll more efficiently, train smarter.

Every athlete is unique. Body type, flexibility, and individual learning pace determine how quickly you progress.

In group training, the focus on your specific needs is often neglected – this is exactly where our 1:1 coaching sessions and small group training come in.

.

We analyze your current BJJ game and identify the levers that will take you to the next level fastest. Whether you want to work on your guard, refine your submissions, or hone your competition form: we develop your personal style.

Interested in an individual session? Our coaching sessions take place by personal arrangement.

Simply write to us for details on times, prices and the selection of the right coach.

This course is aimed at beginners and is practiced in a BJJ uniform.

The aim of this course is to give new students an understanding of the different positions used in BJJ and basic self-defense skills.
